Our mission statement on Cree Language is to enhance, strengthen, promote and safeguard the Language of the Eeyou/Eenou Nation. It is these four commitments that support and stand by the tallest tree which represents our Cree Language.

Together, the trees represent the vitality and strength our language upholds, the roots represent our connection as the people of Eeyou Istchee to keep and protect what is rightfully ours. The blue represents our strong rivers that carry and sustains life to all that draw from it.
